Backend Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and develop backend systems and frameworks that are highly scalable and reliable.

• Construct and uphold the core platform infrastructure to facilitate company-wide products and engineering initiatives.

• Champion engineering practices and coding standards; establish expectations for quality and conduct code reviews.

• Work in partnership with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional solutions.

• Take the initiative to recognize technical debt, architectural limitations, and areas for system enhancements.

• Mentor and support fellow engineers on backend and platform-related topics.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in backend engineering or related positions.

• Demonstrated experience in developing scalable and distributed backend systems and services.

• Proficient programming skills in languages such as Go, Java, or Python.

• Comprehensive understanding of system architecture, frameworks, and essential infrastructure components.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of databases (both SQL and NoSQL), messaging systems, and caching strategies.

• Strong understanding of engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation.

• Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Willingness and capability to work on-site in Bengaluru.
