Backend Engineer, PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Construct and enhance technology and products for Eneba, a worldwide digital gaming marketplace.

• Design and sustain backend systems within a sophisticated framework of over 100 microservices.

• Tackle challenges related to scale, performance, reliability, trust, and safety.

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team of 5–10 individuals across design, backend, frontend, mobile, and data disciplines.

• Assist in defining team processes and making technology decisions.

• Participate in architectural discussions and deliver products for an expanding gaming community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Proven experience in building and scaling distributed systems.

• Strong proficiency in PHP and Symfony.

• Knowledge of CQRS, circuit breaking, and service orchestration.

• Capability to contribute effectively to architectural discussions.

• Product-oriented mindset with consideration for end-user impact.

• A true openness to feedback and a problem-solving approach focused on ownership.

• CV must be submitted in English.
