Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable and high-performance e-commerce solutions utilizing the Shopify platform.

• Collaborate with project stakeholders, solution architects, QA teams, and technical leads to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of solutions.

• Design and execute backend solutions adhering to Shopify best practices.

• Write secure, scalable, and high-performing code for Shopify applications.

• Engage in story refinement, requirements analysis, and the design of technical solutions.

• Create solutions based on user stories and technical specifications.

• Work with Shopify GraphQL, REST, third-party APIs, and integrations.

• Develop and maintain connections between Shopify and external systems and services.

• Utilize Shopify webhooks and event-driven integrations.

• Adhere to Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the development process.

• Produce technical designs, documentation, and prototypes.

• Implement secure development practices alongside established coding and architectural standards.

• Identify and resolve issues related to architecture, performance, code quality, integration, and processes.

• Collaborate on proposed technical enhancements from architects and technical leaders.

• Diagnose and resolve backend issues across Shopify applications, integrations, APIs, and production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend or full-stack technologies.

• Extensive experience in Shopify backend development.

• Proficient in JavaScript, Liquid, and Node.js.

• Practical experience with Shopify Plus.

• Familiarity with Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility.

• Experience with both Shopify Admin API and Storefront API.

• Strong skills in GraphQL and RESTful APIs.

• Experience in developing and integrating third-party APIs.

• Knowledge of Shopify webhooks and event-driven integrations.

• Understanding of Shopify products, collections, orders, customers, metafields, and metaobjects.

• Proficient in Git and source control management.

• Experience with npm, Webpack, and Gulp.

• Understanding of Core Web Vitals and best practices for web performance.

• Basic knowledge of technical SEO principles.

• Experience in responsive web development and proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Background in Scrum environments.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
