Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Create and execute multi-file coding assignments that include bug fixing, feature enhancement, refactoring, and testing.

• Produce clear specifications in natural language along with reference implementations.

• Build and enhance unit and integration test suites.

• Evaluate peer-generated tasks for accuracy, clarity, and feasibility.

• Recognize edge cases, ambiguities, and potential points of failure.

• Ensure consistency among specifications, code, and anticipated outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in professional software engineering.

• Exceptional written English proficiency.

• Strong expertise in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with Java, C#, or Go is a plus.

• Experience in backend or full-stack development within production environments.

• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Demonstrated ability to debug and work within large, multi-file codebases.

• Experience in code reviews, refactoring, and managing production migrations.
