Back End Developer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• You will be responsible for the backend services that facilitate AI interactions in production, ensuring they are fast, dependable, and scalable as the platform expands.

• Designing and developing backend services for AI-driven product functionalities.

• Creating inference pipelines and orchestration layers that support LLMs.

• Building robust APIs utilized by web, desktop, and mobile applications.

• Enhancing latency, throughput, caching, batching, and streaming performance.

• Establishing monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across production services.

• Troubleshooting distributed systems and enhancing platform reliability.

• Collaborating closely with product, infrastructure, and AI engineers to consistently improve performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven backend engineering experience within production settings.

• Background in constructing high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.

• Proficient in Python (Node.js knowledge is a plus).

• Practical experience in deploying and managing services on Kubernetes and Docker.

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of modern AI infrastructure, including LLM inference, embeddings, or multimodal models.

• A practical engineering approach focused on delivering reliable software.

• Nice to have:

• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source LLMs.

• Experience in building AI orchestration or agent workflows.

• Knowledge of inference optimization techniques.

• Experience in operating AI services at scale.
