Azure Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver Azure infrastructure solutions according to the established scopes of work and project timelines.

• Implement and configure Azure services by adhering to Microsoft best practices.

• Assist in Azure migration initiatives from on-premises systems and other cloud environments.

• Validate the solutions provided through testing and ensure smooth transitions for customers.

• Deploy and manage Azure networking, compute, and storage services.

• Set up Azure Firewall, Bastion, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Network Security Groups.

• Execute Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery solutions.

• Configure Microsoft Entra ID, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

• Implement governance measures including Azure Policy, Management Groups, and tagging protocols.

• Enhance security and support Zero Trust initiatives.

• Diagnose Azure networking and hybrid connectivity challenges.

• Create automation scripts using PowerShell and facilitate Infrastructure as Code deployments via Terraform or similar technologies.

• Engage in customer workshops, discovery sessions, and technical discussions.

• Produce and update technical documentation, which includes designs, implementation guides, and operational runbooks.

• Foster knowledge sharing, technical growth, and continuous improvement within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering Azure infrastructure and cloud-centric projects.

• Solid understanding of Azure networking aspects, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and Virtual Networks.

• Familiarity with Azure security services such as Defender, Entra ID, RBAC, and PIM.

• Experience with Azure compute, storage, and platform services.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Bicep, or comparable tools.

• Proficient in using PowerShell and automation technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in Azure and hybrid environments.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously while positively contributing to a broader consultancy team.

• Strong documentation abilities and a keen eye for detail.

• Experience in delivering customer-facing Azure consultancy or implementation projects.

• AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certification is desirable.

• SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator) certification is desirable.

• AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer) certification is desirable.

• Experience working towards AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is advantageous.

• Terraform Associate certification is desirable.
