Azure Data Engineer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop data processing systems utilizing the Azure platform.

• Create efficient and scalable code for processing, transforming, and cleaning extensive volumes of both structured and unstructured data.

• Construct data pipelines to ingest data from databases, APIs, and streaming services.

• Integrate and transform data to ensure compatibility with target data models or formats.

• Design and enhance data storage solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed file systems.

• Implement partitioning, compression, and optimization techniques for storage and retrieval.

• Identify and address bottlenecks, optimize queries, and apply caching strategies.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to comprehend requirements and deliver technical solutions.

• Oversee the solution delivery process, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and meet high standards.

• Operate within Agile methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and Databricks implementation.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experienced in Python and PySpark.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Experience with supporting tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps.

• Proficient in English, with a minimum level of B2, ideally C1.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience or familiarity with additional cloud technologies, data warehouses, data governance, and business analysis is a plus.
