Azure Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and platform services.

• Implement Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Virtual Machines, Storage, App Services, and associated services.

• Support Azure Landing Zone and governance initiatives utilizing Azure Policy, Management Groups, RBAC, and tagging strategies.

• Engage in architecture reviews and suggest enhancements for scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimization.

• Manage and oversee enterprise Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.

• Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, networking, identity, and security.

• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and initiatives for operational improvements.

• Implement Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, and adhere to security best practices.

• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.

• Create automation and CI/CD workflows through Azure DevOps and GitHub.

• Support cloud modernization initiatives leveraging AKS, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Event Grid, and App Services.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor across various customer engagements.

• Balance project responsibilities, support tasks, and consulting duties within a diverse customer portfolio.

• Facilitate technical workshops, cloud assessments, and architecture discussions.

• Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and customer leadership.

• Adapt to evolving customer priorities, timelines, and technical requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or technology consulting.

• 3+ years of practical experience with Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with Azure networking, identity, security, monitoring, governance, and infrastructure services.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities within production cloud environments.

• Ability to handle multiple customer engagements and competing priorities simultaneously.

• Excellent customer-facing communication and consulting skills.

• US citizenship or Green Card authorization to work in the US.

• Sponsorship is not available.

• Preferred: experience with a Microsoft partner, consulting firm, MSP, or systems integrator.

• Preferred: knowledge of Azure Landing Zones, Cloud Adoption Framework, and Azure Well-Architected Framework.

• Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and contemporary CI/CD practices.

• Preferred: experience with Microsoft Sentinel and cloud security operations.

• Preferred: understanding of FinOps and Azure cost optimization strategies.

• Required certifications: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
