Azerbaijani Over the Phone Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver real-time Azerbaijani ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.

• Provide accurate, neutral, and professional interpretation in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.

• Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls effectively.

• Engage in training sessions, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Azerbaijani and English.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional interpreting experience (preferably in immigration, legal, healthcare, or government sectors).

• Knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

• Strong telephone communication skills; capable of maintaining accuracy under pressure.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
