AWS Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and implement AWS solutions that are highly available, scalable, and resilient, utilizing Serverless Frameworks, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, and CloudFront.

• Utilize cutting-edge AI tools and services to create, validate, and execute Proofs of Concept that foster client innovation and enhance operational efficiency.

• Lead initiatives for migration and modernization, converting legacy workloads into cloud-native architectures.

• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines, implement automation scripts, and advocate for DevOps best practices.

• Create containerized applications and oversee orchestration management using EKS and ECS.

• Integrate cloud security best practices into architecture designs, covering IAM, VPCs, security groups, and compliance standards.

• Employ infrastructure as code methodologies using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering technical leadership and guidance throughout the lifecycle of projects.

• Collaborate within agile teams to deliver client outcomes in an iterative and incremental manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in public cloud environments, with a preference for AWS.

• Experience with client interactions, including requirements gathering, solution advisory, and agile delivery methodologies.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS Serverless architectures, encompassing Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, and CloudFront.

• Practical experience in migrations and application modernization efforts.

• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, scripting languages such as Python and Bash, and automation techniques.

• Working knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies, specifically EKS and ECS.

• Strong grasp of AWS security, networking principles, and cloud governance.

• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities in consultancy environments.

• Preferred AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certifications.

• A background in application development or DevOps engineering is advantageous.

• Experience in multi-cloud environments, such as Azure and GCP, is a bonus.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices design patterns is preferred.
