AWS Cloud Engineer – Platform Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Enhance and support the AWS infrastructure for Amazon Connect and associated platform services.

• Oversee Infrastructure as Code through Terraform.

• Automate operational processes using Python and AWS CLI.

• Assist in incident response, root cause analysis, disaster recovery, and ensuring production readiness.

• Create self-healing automation and operational runbooks to minimize manual interventions.

• Develop dashboards, alerts, and monitoring solutions utilizing CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

• Provide support for CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and release management tasks.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams to enhance cloud scalability, security, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Proficient hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Route 53, S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.

• In-depth experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Familiarity with Python, AWS CLI, PowerShell, or equivalent automation tools.

• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience with observability tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.

• Background in supporting production environments, incident management, change management, and release management.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent) is a plus.

• Familiarity with Amazon Connect, NICE CXone, Genesys Cloud, or other CCaaS platforms is beneficial.

• Experience with ServiceNow and automated remediation solutions is an advantage.

• Knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and operational resiliency is a plus.
