AWS Cloud Engineer – Platform Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Enhance and support AWS infrastructure for Amazon Connect and associated platform services

• Manage Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform

• Automate operational processes using Python and AWS CLI

• Assist with incident response, root cause analysis, disaster recovery, and ensuring production readiness

• Create self-healing automation and operational runbooks

• Design dashboards, alerts, and monitoring solutions leveraging CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry

• Provide support for CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and release management tasks

• Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams to enhance cloud scalability, security, and operational excellence

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Route 53, S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB

• Proficient experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

• Experience with Python, AWS CLI, PowerShell, or other similar automation tools

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines

• Practical experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry

• Experience in supporting production environments, incident management, change management, and release management

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
