AVP – Field Liability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction for all field liability claims units, encompassing Litigation, Non-Litigation Liability, and General Liability Property Damage.

• Formulate long-term departmental strategies, objectives, and key performance indicators that align with corporate goals.

• Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team of Field Leaders, Litigation Managers, and Senior Adjusters.

• Manage complex and high-severity claims related to liability, property damage, and auto physical damage.

• Collaborate with legal teams to shape litigation strategies and determine settlement authority.

• Develop and oversee departmental budgets, staffing models, and workload allocation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree or industry designation (CPCU, AIC, SCLA, ARM) is highly preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in property and casualty claims, with substantial exposure to liability, general liability property damage, and auto physical damage.

• More than 5 years of progressive leadership experience in managing field operations and/or litigation units.

• Proven success in overseeing complex losses, litigation portfolios, and multi-state claims operations.
