This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Lead, direct, and nurture staff with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
• Implement the enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy by delivering the roadmap and managing the portfolio.
• Oversee intake, prioritization, planning, value tracking, and realization of benefits.
• Collaborate with business leaders to design, deliver, and integrate analytics and AI solutions, such as dashboards, models, and AI-enabled decision support.
• Manage analytics product management and the AI factory, which includes lifecycle management, monitoring, drift detection, value tracking, and evaluation of AI-related operational, regulatory, and business risks.
• Establish and track KPIs for adoption, quality, timeliness, and business impact; provide insights to senior leadership.
• Act as a bridge between business and technology to ensure successful execution of data-driven initiatives.
• Operationalize data governance, privacy, stewardship, and AI risk controls in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams.
• Work with Architecture and technology teams on scalable data architecture, integration, interoperability, security, data lifecycle, retention, and recovery practices.
• Guide investments in analytics talent, platforms, and technologies.
• Supervise vendor and system integrator performance, including delivery outcomes and value realization.
• Advocate for enterprise data and AI fluency through training, communication, and engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Statistics, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in data, analytics, AI, or technology-related roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
• Minimum of 7 years of formal leadership experience, including management of cross-functional teams and ideally managers or senior individual contributors.
• Proven success in delivering enterprise-scale data, analytics, or AI initiatives that lead to measurable business outcomes.
• Experience in the P&C insurance sector, including collaboration with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Audit stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with business leaders and technology teams to translate strategy into execution, adoption, and realized value.
• Extensive understanding of data architecture, data governance, advanced analytics (AI/ML), and analytics tools.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, AWS, Cliz, and integration with core P&C platforms such as Guidewire.
• Familiarity with operationalizing genAI/agentic AI in regulated environments, including prompt engineering and evaluation, RAG/knowledge management, content moderation, and cost and latency optimization.
• Proven track record of implementing NAIC/NIST-aligned AI governance and model risk management.
• Demonstrated success in deploying AI at scale in at least two areas: underwriting workbench, claims assistant/triage, pricing experimentation platform, and knowledge management for frontline staff is preferred.
