This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Assist the Compliance Management team with daily KYC and name screening referrals.
• Ensure adherence to the Bank’s KYC Standards and regulatory obligations.
• Evaluate high-risk KYC cases within the defined SLA turnaround time.
• Collaborate with the Compliance Assurance Unit and Internal Audit for RCSA testing and internal audit activities.
• Resolve significant errors identified during assurance and audit processes.
• Stay updated on UAE regulations, bank compliance policies, standards, and legal/regulatory changes.
• Offer technical support, coaching, and quality assurance oversight to Compliance Officers and Analysts.
• Assess complex cases and determine areas for skill enhancement.
• Assist in business scrums by providing compliant solutions and identifying areas of inefficiency.
• Serve as the designated backup for the Squad Lead during their absence.
• Facilitate case allocation, manage escalations, engage stakeholders, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Prepare and present management reports and management information systems (MIS).
• Aid in operational risk initiatives, including reviewing the Operational Risk Register, RCSA, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Planning.
• Act as the LEAN Champion and lead regular huddle meetings.
• Review and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) along with compliance policies and standards.
• Foster relationships with business and operations stakeholders.
• Coordinate responses to compliance inquiries and investigations from the UAE Central Bank, Head Office, and other regulatory bodies.
• Represent CIBG Compliance in various ad hoc projects.
• Contribute to the development of compliance systems, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of experience in corporate banking compliance.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of local regulatory rules and legislation.
• Familiarity with international requirements applicable to corporate and investment banking, including FATCA/CRS compliance obligations.
• Proficient in computer usage.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Efficient, logical, and risk-based approach to problem-solving.
• Capable of making informed decisions.
• Knowledge of banking laws and practices, as well as bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Understanding of multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical thinking skills and sound judgment regarding regulations and their application.
