AVD Engineer – Azure Virtual Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, architect, and maintain an extensive virtual desktop environment.

• Act as the subject matter expert for diagnosing performance issues throughout the organization.

• Provide Tier 3/4 assistance to system administrators for resolving VDI challenges.

• Guide desktop optimization to ensure platform interoperability.

• Serve as a liaison for technologies related to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.

• Offer endpoint support and troubleshoot issues associated with virtual desktops.

• Administer, engineer, and implement technologies related to virtual desktop infrastructure.

• Operate within multiple intricate production environments involving various stakeholders.

• Conduct trade studies, offering recommendations on solutions and make-or-buy evaluations.

• Support system design and integration, along with process automation and improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance.

• Ability to secure Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD).

• Master's degree plus 7 years of experience or 16 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Azure Networking, Storage, and Virtual Desktops.

• Experience in managing and administering Windows Servers.

• Familiarity with Azure AD, Intune, and FSLogix.

• Knowledge in VDI profile management.

• Experience with endpoint protection, policy management, and the application of STIGs.

• Experience integrating AVD with Office 365 services.

• Background in desktop software provisioning and support services.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and work well within a team environment.
