AutoStore System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, price, and procure Material Handling Equipment systems.

• Support drafters in creating MHE system designs utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor.

• Provide insights to design engineers regarding customer challenges and requirements.

• Research and produce blueprints, engineering plans, and graphics with design software.

• Collect customer product and building details to develop suitable MHE designs.

• Identify strategies to enhance customer operational efficiency.

• Maintain current engineering records and designs.

• Evaluate design solutions for potential issues or risks.

• Estimate cost boundaries and budgets for new designs.

• Generate work orders and purchase orders for the implementation of MHE systems.

• Collaborate with Senior Project Engineers to address MHE installation challenges.

• Oversee the manufacturing process of designs.

• Coordinate with other design engineers.

• Communicate with internal software and controls teams to validate designs.

• Liaise with vendors concerning quotations, specifications, and brochures.

• Create and test prototypes as necessary.

• Design air systems for conveyors and sorters.

• Conduct walkthroughs at clients’ distribution centers to assess project workspaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in design engineering or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant professional experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

• Proficient computer skills in Excel and AutoCAD, including the AutoCAD 3D environment.

• Familiarity with Inventor is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of MHE systems.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

• Willingness to travel.

• Valid passport.

• Valid US visa.

• Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.

• Must wear PPE when visiting job sites.
