Automotive Translation, Chinese to Malay/Indonesian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Enhance machine translation results through MTPE to ensure they meet standards of accuracy, fluency, consistency, and adherence to terminology/style guidelines.

• Conduct final proofreading and perform quality assurance checks for language, terminology, formatting, numbers/units, and readiness for delivery.

• Utilize CAT tools and adhere to project quality assurance workflows.

• Translate and review automotive and technical documentation, including product/feature content, technical documents/manual excerpts, after-sales/service information, and training materials.

• Provide support for long-term freelance collaborations and urgent requests when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Indonesian/Malay is preferred.

• Experience in technical localization is required.

• Experience in automotive localization is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Dependable turnaround times.

• Ability to assist with urgent requests when necessary.

• A linguistic test is required (TR / MTPE / PR).

• Familiarity with CAT tools such as Trados, memoQ, or Smartcat is essential.

• Availability and time zone information must be provided when applying.

• A CV and details of relevant automotive/technical experience should be submitted with the application.
