Automation Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and sustain both automated and manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications, APIs, microservices, and data workflows.

• Design and uphold automated testing solutions utilizing Playwright (JavaScript) and Selenium (Java).

• Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, performance, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.

• Collaborate with front-end, back-end, data engineering, and DevOps teams to facilitate integration testing across various services.

• Conduct API testing to ensure the accuracy of payloads, authentication flows, error handling, and end-to-end functionality.

• Utilize SQL Server and SSMS for in-depth database validation across extensive datasets.

• Ensure data integrity across Azure SQL, Data Factory pipelines, and Power BI outputs.

• Adhere to Section 508 accessibility standards and perform accessibility testing.

• Record defects, monitor issues in JIRA, maintain test artifacts in Confluence and SharePoint, and collaborate with developers for resolution.

• Assist CI/CD pipelines through the integration of test automation and reporting within Azure DevOps.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies to ensure testing readiness throughout development cycles.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes, tools, frameworks, and quality methodologies.

• Operate independently on intricate features and integrations while working with cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 3–5+ years of experience in QA testing for web applications and APIs.

• Practical experience with Playwright (JavaScript) or Selenium automation.

• Strong SQL expertise using SQL Server/SSMS, encompassing advanced queries, CTEs, multi-table joins, and relational analysis.

• Experience with testing in Azure environments, including API, function, and database validation.

• Demonstrated proficiency with API testing tools and methodologies for validating workflows and responses.

• Experience in integration testing with the capability to coordinate across multiple teams.

• Understanding of Section 508 compliance and accessibility testing.

• Familiarity with Agile tools and practices, specifically using JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Experience in testing within FedRAMP, HIPAA, healthcare, or other regulated environments.

• Knowledge of SonarCloud or comparable code quality tools.

• Experience using performance/load testing tools like JMeter or k6.

• ISTQB or other software testing certifications.

• Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem tools, including Azure DevOps and Power BI validation.

• US citizenship is not a requirement.
