Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain automated end-to-end, regression, and UI test suites utilizing Playwright and TypeScript.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Discover automation opportunities to minimize repetitive manual regression efforts.

• Analyze test failures, ensure stability of flaky tests, and enhance overall test reliability.

• Collaborate with developers to establish testability criteria and the automation strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of practical experience in developing and maintaining automated tests for web or mobile applications.

• Proficiency in constructing end-to-end, regression, and UI automated test suites with Playwright and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and experience in incorporating automated tests into release processes.

• Capability to analyze test failures, troubleshoot unstable tests, and enhance the reliability, maintainability, and scope of automated test suites.

• Strong grasp of software quality practices, test design methodologies, and the ability to convert functional requirements into automated test coverage.

• Experience using Git and engaging with developers through code reviews, pull requests, and mutual test automation standards.

• Ability to conduct focused manual validations when necessary and accurately document expected outcomes, defects, reproduction procedures, and observations.

• Knowledge of AI-driven testing tools and methodologies, with the capacity to assess and implement AI-based testing strategies where applicable.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across distributed teams.
