Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establishing, maintaining, and continuously developing the build/integration infrastructure.

• Designing and sustaining fully automated Continuous Integration (CI) build processes across various Linux environments.

• Creating and updating scripts for building and deploying software.

• Assisting in the integration, operation, change management, and maintenance of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) tools.

• Facilitating complete automation of CI and testing processes.

• Formulating policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and associated recommendations for CI/CD operations and developer activities.

• Onboarding, training, and supporting developers throughout the processes of source control, build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, and deployment, based on the application of tools, policies, and standards.

• Promoting DevOps by transitioning code from Development/Test environments to Staging and Production.

• Diagnosing and resolving issues within the CI/CD pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree and/or over 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD)/DevOps Development on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Infrastructure.

• Proficient in RedHat Ansible, Jenkins, and GIT.

• Advanced knowledge of Linux Operations.

• Extensive experience with Packer, Groovy, OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform.

• Advanced skills in Sonar, Nexus, and Docker.

• Proficient in Bash and Java.

• Practical experience with Python and Terraform.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks, including but not limited to: SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.

• Ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance.

• Must have resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.
