Automation Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Gather, process, and analyze both structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.

• Develop, validate, and enhance predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.

• Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports that effectively convey insights to leadership.

• Perform statistical analysis, design experiments, and assess model performance.

• Collaborate with business units to uncover data-driven opportunities or challenges.

• Deploy models into production and ensure ongoing performance monitoring.

• Simplify complex data concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Design, construct, and maintain Power Apps to cater to business processes and user requirements.

• Establish automated workflows using Power Automate to enhance operations and minimize manual tasks.

• Develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations utilizing Power BI.

• Integrate applications with various data sources (Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, APIs).

• Enforce governance, security roles, and best practices for Power Platform environments.

• Diagnose app issues, optimize performance, and provide support to end users.

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and quickly prototype solutions.

• Document system configurations, workflows, and development standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Level 3: 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 0 years of experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.

• Level 4: 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years of relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 13 years of relevant experience.

• Level 5: 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 13 years of relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 10 years of relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 19 years of relevant experience.

• Practical experience with Python or R for data modeling, machine learning, and data manipulation.

• Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases.

• Proficiency in building solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

• Experience with data visualization and reporting techniques.

• Ability to translate business requirements into effective analytical or automation solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.

• Exceptional communication abilities—capable of explaining technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
