Automated Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for UI, API, and regression testing across modernized platforms.

• Create and implement automated test scripts utilizing Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.

• Execute API test automation for REST/JSON using tools like Postman/Newman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar.

• Collaborate with developers to enhance testability and apply unit and integration testing strategies when suitable.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous quality gates.

• Define and oversee test data, test environments, and automated reporting/metrics.

• Convert user stories and acceptance criteria into test scenarios and automation plans; assist with requirements analysis.

• Conduct defect triage and root-cause analysis; document findings to expedite resolution, minimize recurrence, and support audit readiness.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and cooperate across distributed teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software testing with substantial hands-on test automation responsibilities.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience in testing web applications and APIs, including automated regression suites.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and contemporary SDLC practices.

• Knowledge of Git and test execution in CI/CD workflows.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear test documentation and defect reports.

• Capability to meet federal contracting requirements, including the completion of a background check.

• Experience with federal IT programs or regulated environments is preferred.

• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, Docker, and/or infrastructure-as-code concepts is preferred.

• Familiarity with accessibility testing concepts such as Section 508/WCAG and application security fundamentals like OWASP Top 10 is preferred.

• Experience with mortgage, servicing, lending, or financial systems and/or performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6 is preferred.

• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

• Must not require current or future sponsorship to work in the United States.
