This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Utilize sales expertise to effectively cultivate relationships: Comprehend and communicate the advantages of indoor LED displays relative to other technologies like video walls and projection systems as necessary.
• Initiate proactive cold calls to AV Integrators to inform them about Daktronics products and generate interest in our display systems.
• Follow Daktronics guidelines to establish AV Integrator Sales Partnerships.
• Formulate a strategy to onboard targeted integrators and adapt the approach as needed to deepen business relationships with AV Integrators.
• Work alongside the AV Sales team to collect market intelligence, effective tactics, competitor insights, and industry practices, sharing this information during AV Sales team meetings.
• Grasp project and customer requirements, organizing and engaging necessary sales and support teams to optimally assist the customer, including but not limited to Project Management, Application Engineering, Legal, and Accounting.
• Create and deliver compelling presentations in a variety of environments, including military briefings, media firms, architects, construction companies, and corporate settings.
• Organize, prioritize, and document sales activities: Develop a weekly sales plan that includes frequent travel for relationship-building through customer meetings, presentations, trade shows, cold calls, and scheduled calls.
• Leverage Salesforce to create lists and schedules for proactive follow-up on new leads and tasks, ensuring effective time management.
• Apply Challenger Sales methodologies throughout the sales process.
• Regularly utilize Salesforce to manage accounts, sales opportunities, leads, and all customer management activities. The work schedule will include evenings, weekends, and overnight travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, a technical field, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment effectively.
• The chosen candidate must be able to travel by air and ground and adhere to the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to commence and maintain employment.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to comply with all workplace safety regulations.
• Preferred 3-5 years of field sales experience, including negotiating and finalizing purchase agreements.
• Experience in selling to or working within the Audio-Visual Industry is advantageous.
• Proven ability to establish and nurture relationships with sales partners.
• Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and LinkedIn.
• Daily/weekly use of Salesforce for account management is a requirement; prior experience with Salesforce is favorable.
