This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the senior strategic media leader for significant client accounts.
• Create innovative, forward-thinking plans that promote measurable business growth.
• Oversee integrated planning across Converged TV, Audio, Social, Search, Programmatic, OOH, Print, and emerging media channels.
• Convert audience insights, past performance, attribution data, market trends, and client goals into actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with Analytics and channel leaders to develop measurement plans, optimize KPIs, and strategize for the future.
• Conduct planning reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), client presentations, and executive discussions.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with senior clients and address broader business or relationship challenges.
• Work with department leadership to establish planning standards, scalable processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Enhance Rain’s Media Planning practice through improved quality, integration, training, and consistency.
• Advance planning tools, proprietary technology, AI-driven workflows, and attribution models.
• Drive new business initiatives through pitches and cross-functional teamwork.
• Build agency and industry networks and contribute to points of view, case studies, training materials, and Media Impact Report content.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop planning talent, including Directors and emerging leaders.
• Guide teams on strategic planning, client leadership, communication, delegation, and accountability.
• Provide insights on staffing, resource allocation, utilization, and delivery models.
• Ensure account and department health regarding scope, staffing, profitability, deliverables, client satisfaction, and team capacity.
• Identify and eliminate obstacles, clarify responsibilities and next steps, and maintain urgency concerning critical deliverables.
• Over 12 years of experience in agency media planning, integrated media strategy, or relevant media leadership for national accounts.
• Extensive cross-channel planning experience across linear, streaming, digital, audio, social, search, programmatic, retail media, and emerging channels.
• Demonstrated ability to convert data, research, market context, audience insights, and performance outcomes into persuasive strategic narratives.
• Excellent executive presence and communication abilities.
• Proven experience leading or participating in senior client discussions, planning reviews, QBRs, and new business presentations.
• Experience managing and nurturing senior planning talent, including Directors and promising future leaders.
• Strong business acumen encompassing staffing, scope, utilization, operational efficiency, resource planning, and healthy client business drivers.
• Forward-thinking perspective on media industry changes, including audience strategy, Converged TV, measurement evolution, attribution, AI-enabled planning, and shifting consumer behavior.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in uncertain situations.
