Associate Technical Architect – SD – Java/Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee in-depth assessments for each SYSID across 15 SYSIDs during Sprints 2–3

• Develop L2 sequence diagrams and data-flow diagrams for all Tier 1 SYSIDs

• Establish Confluent Kafka topic topology, partition strategy, and message sequencing for each business process

• Create interim-state architectures that illustrate transitions from current to target states for each SYSID

• Direct migration patterns from Oracle AQ to Confluent Kafka

• Identify microservices boundaries and perform service decomposition for each SYSID

• Evaluate Spring Boot migration options for Java engines and batch workloads

• Design AWS Step Functions state machines for orchestrating MBN/MBC batch processes

• Generate diagrams comparing current-state and future-state architectures

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Java/Spring Boot development and architecture

• Proven experience with Apache Kafka and the Confluent Platform

• Proficiency in OpenShift and Kubernetes for container orchestration

• Familiarity with Amazon EKS, IRSA, Karpenter, and managed node groups

• Understanding of event-driven microservices patterns, including CQRS, event sourcing, and Saga

• Experience in migrating from Oracle to PostgreSQL

• Knowledge of IBM MQ and Oracle AQ messaging systems
