This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Aids in the design, implementation, and upkeep of software systems to fulfill organizational requirements.
• Assists with system troubleshooting, provides training for end-users, and engages in basic project coordination.
• Collaborates closely with senior team members to guarantee system functionality, deliver user support, and improve operational efficiency.
• Plays a role in the successful integration and enhancement of technology solutions while offering fundamental technical and administrative support for various projects and tasks.
• Participates in testing activities to validate and optimize system performance, documenting outcomes and pinpointing areas for enhancement.
• Aids in the implementation and testing of system updates for basic workflows, ensuring dependable functionality and supporting optimization efforts.
• Works together on system enhancements and optimizations with a focus on organizational requirements, enhancing efficiency and best practices.
• Provides end-user support and training to promote effective utilization of systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR two (2) years of pertinent experience.
• Relevant certifications and/or skills may be necessary for this role, with a goal of completion within 90 days following formal training provided by WVUHS Information Technology.
• Experience with applicable business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems, including advanced workflows aimed at enhancing efficiency and optimization.
• Proficient in systems administration and providing strategic insights and enhancements to business operations.
• Background in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, focusing on improving patient care processes through advanced system implementations.
• Familiarity with clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
• Knowledge of Cloud-based healthcare applications and web services, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient system architecture supported by this role.
• Understanding of reporting tools, delivering actionable insights and improving decision-making processes through thorough data analysis and reporting capabilities.
