Associate Surgical Account Manager – South Carolina

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Acquire distribution and utilization of the Impella 5.5 (left-sided treatment).

• Oversee EXCEL sites and clinical aspects relating to new Surgery, Heart Failure, and ECMO technologies.

• Collaborate effectively within the area to drive growth quarter over quarter.

• Inspire enthusiasm and vision for heart recovery solutions utilizing both existing devices and future technologies.

• Key call points include: Cardiac Surgeons, Heart Failure Cardiologists, and the "Heart Team" which encompasses Interventional Cardiologists, Intensivists, and Perfusionists.

• Represent the company at major conferences such as HFSA, AHA, STS, AATS, and ISHLT.

• Participate in local heart failure symposiums.

• Develop the surgical vertical within established Impella programs encompassing the full product portfolio.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• At least 10+ years of experience in cardiac surgery and/or combined cardiology medical device sales is necessary for the Surgical Account Manager level OR a minimum of 5+ years of experience in cardiac surgery and/or combined cardiology medical device clinical or sales for the Associate Account Manager level.

• A proven history of sales within an operating room environment is required.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams to successfully meet quotas is essential.

• Strong understanding of cardiac surgery and structural heart anatomy is required.

• Established relationships and network among Cardiac Surgeons within the region are necessary.

• Proven success in technology adoption and market development is required.

• Direct patient support experience is essential.

• Capability to drive patient outcomes is required.

• Willingness to travel 50%-75% overnight is necessary.

• Conduct all duties and responsibilities in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry.
