This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Ensure that agile development pods embody and practice the desired agile values while adhering to the established processes and practices.
• Learn to eliminate obstacles and create an environment where the team can enhance their effectiveness by minimizing interruptions and distractions.
• Foster a constructive collaborative relationship between the pod and the product owner, maintaining a safe working atmosphere for the team by assisting in conflict resolution.
• Oversee scope, processes, timelines, and metrics for up to 1 development pod, while addressing blockers, resolving conflicts, and facilitating internal team communication and collaboration.
• Organize sprints, retrospective meetings, show and tells, grooming and planning meetings, as well as daily stand-ups.
• Create and sustain a productive environment where team members take ownership of the product, generate value through outcomes, and find enjoyment in their work.
• Mentor team members and business stakeholders in the chosen agile framework, guiding the pods towards higher levels of agile maturity.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external communications with stakeholders and assist product owners in grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
• Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards at the conclusion of each sprint.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technology field, or equivalent proven experience in an agile environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in a hands-on application development Scrum Master role for one or more agile development pods.
• First Level Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) is mandatory.
• Product Owner, PMI-ACP, and additional agile certifications are highly preferred.
• Familiarity with software development and prioritization methodologies.
• Intermediate knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, team working agreement, acceptance criteria).
• Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (pair programming, Kanban, etc.).
• Awareness of Agile techniques like TDD, BDD, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
• Exceptional communication and servant leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
