This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Gaining a comprehensive understanding of all products, surgical specialties, and devices within the portfolio.
• Promoting and supporting our Surgical Portfolio in a designated geography to address customer clinical and economic requirements.
• Key contacts include surgeons, nurses, and operating room personnel.
• Engaging with your existing customer base and following up on incremental purchases, pricing/delivery concerns, and overall support to enhance their experience.
• Developing and executing independent selling strategies to market products of moderate complexity directly to customers via phone and in-person.
• Establishing knowledge of the portfolio's competitive advantages and conveying this information to customers to aid in product selection.
• Scheduling and fulfilling customer sales call quotas and following up on opportunities to grow the business.
• Conducting thorough prospecting, lead generation, and lead follow-up for sales teams; assisting with product demonstrations for customers upon request.
• Ensuring clinical adoption across the product portfolio through trialing, demonstrations, and in-servicing to enhance customers’ usage of their portfolio.
• Supporting site visits, product fairs, and mock rooms as required.
• Documenting activities and contacts within Salesforce.com, ensuring that all information is up to date and relevant.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 2+ years of experience or a minimum of 2 years in an inside or field sales role within the healthcare or related industry.
• Experience with medical devices is strongly preferred.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Familiarity with clinical workflows/clinical language and the hospital environment is advantageous.
• Proficient in computer applications, demonstrating a solid understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
• Exceptional formal presentation skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly over the phone.
• Must be adaptable, self-sufficient, and able to collaborate with various team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 50-75%, which may include visits to remote or urban areas, either alone or with other personnel.
