This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Lead the ongoing support for advanced surgical products from a marketing perspective, encompassing line extensions, design modifications, cost-reduction initiatives, and end-of-life (EOL) processes.
• Formulate business cases for sustaining projects, which include market sizing, financial modeling, and ROI assessments to aid in investment and resource allocation decisions, backed by clear, data-driven recommendations.
• Develop and implement controlled market release strategies for sustaining initiatives, ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and readiness for launch, along with effective cross-functional communication among downstream and commercial teams.
• Continuously assess and prioritize sustaining projects, balancing risks and business impacts while promoting transparency among cross-functional teams regarding expected backorders and supply issues.
• Lead customer engagement and voice-of-customer (VOC) activities related to sustaining initiatives, synthesizing insights into portfolio recommendations, requirements, and prioritization choices.
• Convert portfolio strategy, VOC insights, and sustaining objectives into definitive marketing and product specifications, facilitating smooth hand-offs and execution across R&D and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain—to ensure alignment from strategic planning to execution and commercialization readiness.
• Keep track of competitive intelligence, emerging technologies, and market trends to sustain differentiation and inform portfolio strategy.
• Advocate for a data-driven, customer-focused approach, ensuring that customer feedback shapes portfolio decisions, priorities, and execution.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of pertinent experience in fields such as engineering or marketing.
• Capacity to meet with customers at hospitals and to participate as a member of a credentialing agency.
• Willingness to travel 25%-40% of the time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments governed by government agencies, independent regulatory bodies, medical associations, and patient advocacy organizations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Proven ability to lead and contribute to interdisciplinary teams with demonstrated success.
• Established ability to execute and lead upstream projects within established timelines and budgets.
• Strong organizational and communication skills demonstrated in previous roles.
• Proven ability to foster relationships with sales teams and healthcare professionals.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant anatomy, surgical procedures, and clinical requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of the surgeon and sales education processes.
