Associate, Operations – East Branch

📋 Description

• Implement Team Rubicon’s strategy to enhance our capacity for quick and localized disaster response.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with disaster assistance organizations at the state, county, and municipal levels.

• Assist in the program delivery of the leadership lifecycle, which includes the recruitment, onboarding, and development of Greyshirt volunteer leaders.

• Oversee purchasing and expenses in alignment with the Branch budget plan, as well as approve events in the system.

• Act as a vital member of the Emergency Operations Team (EOT) during disaster events.

• Take on a designated role within the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and carry out all responsibilities assigned by EOC leadership.

• Engage in the activation, operation, and deactivation of the EOC to ensure effective coordination of responses.

• Provide direct assistance in coordinating response efforts with local, state, federal, and non-governmental agencies.

• Aid in the formulation and execution of disaster response strategies, ensuring efficient resource deployment.

• Facilitate communication between field operations, the EOC, and external stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of applicable professional experience in military service, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder roles.

• Demonstrated experience in personnel management, including recruiting, managing, training, and developing both employees and volunteers.

• Skilled in utilizing technology tools and remote working for effective communication and coordination with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts (volunteers), and external stakeholders.

• A strong history of successful volunteer leadership is highly preferred.
