This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop and execute daily strategies for handling chargebacks to prevent financial losses for the bank, merchants, and cardholders. Analyze and advise on dispute reduction strategies to assist acquiring merchants in minimizing dispute losses.
• Implement, maintain, and enhance processes to ensure efficient operational workflows that monitor and uphold financial controls, achieving business objectives to optimize the profitability of both the merchant and issuance sectors.
• Collaborate in business decisions and engage closely with product and promotions teams to comprehend current and future requirements, ensuring a well-understood and accepted balance between risk and service.
• Offer guidance in creating and sustaining procedures for product implementation, case approvals, compliance programs, and monitoring the quality performance of financial and chargeback processes. Provide analysis and advice in forming internal and external agreements.
• Design and develop training programs on card finance and chargebacks for card center staff to enhance their skills. Cultivate effective relationships with member banks and establish service level agreements with both internal and external departments.
• Oversee and enforce compliance with requirements from card schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, JCB, CUP, DINERS, and other regional switches.
• Comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures for onboarding both new and existing merchants for POS and E-commerce operations.
• Ensure that all necessary documents (merchant agreements, trade licenses, passport copies, ID documents, MOA, Board resolutions, etc.) required for onboarding are submitted in accordance with the checklist.
• Confirm that all documentation is thoroughly completed.
• Conduct all system-related checks and negative screenings.
• Raise exceptions and seek compliance approval when necessary.
• In-depth knowledge of general banking with solid experience in merchant onboarding processes and local regulations.
• 1-3 years of experience in the cards domain or multi-discipline banking.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong analytical thinking and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office tools, with experience in MIS reporting and analysis.
• Practical experience with any card management system.
