📋 Description

• Act as a proactive analytic partner to enhance market performance under the supervision of the Associate Director, Medical Economics.

• Evaluate regional trends, competitor actions, and industry changes to uncover opportunities and assess risks.

• Examine integrated claims and operational data, including medical, pharmacy, lab, and authorization information, to determine cost and trend influences.

• Offer financial insights on emerging market trends and their potential effects on financial results.

• Review market-level initiatives and incorporate them into the overarching affordability program.

• Develop retrospective studies that measure the financial and clinical outcomes of affordability initiatives against original projections.

• Create scalable analytical processes that can be repeated across various market areas.

• Prepare materials for market finance review sessions and coordinate follow-up with market leadership.

• Establish best practices in analytics, automation, and documentation, fostering innovation, AI application, and improvements in tools.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, such as Economics, Actuarial Science, Health Economics, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, or Health Services Research.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in quantitative analysis.

• Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or actively pursuing this designation (preferred qualification).

• Strong comprehension of health insurance concepts, data sources, and their intricacies (preferred qualification).

• Proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python for querying, manipulating, and analyzing data (preferred qualification).

• Adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
