Associate Manager, Clinical Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Supervise daily management duties for designated clinical operations personnel.

• Offer coaching, developmental assistance, resource allocation, alignment, training, and professional growth for operational teams.

• Work alongside senior management and executive personnel on strategic planning and business development efforts.

• Organize and implement induction and orientation sessions for newly hired employees.

• Maintain updated staff CVs, training records, position descriptions, and experience profiles.

• Assist with local resourcing and activities related to project leads or functional leads.

• Raise concerns that could impact project deliverables.

• Provide training on WPDs, SOPs, local regulations, and clinical operation topics.

• Engage in initiatives for process improvement and development.

• Promote a risk-based monitoring strategy.

• Notify management of quality concerns and request QA audits when necessary.

• Oversee and assess CTMS, Preclarus, and Clarity systems for employee/project metrics, KPIs, and project updates.

• Assess staff performance and monitoring competencies through PAVs.

• Handle staff recruitment, development, goal setting, performance evaluation, coaching, mentoring, counseling, and separations.

• Review and authorize time records, expense claims, leave applications, and overtime requests.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or its equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualifications.

• Prior experience ranging from 0 to 5 years is preferred.

• At least 1 year of leadership experience.

• Familiarity with clinical operations and monitoring methods/environments (e.g., FSO, FSP, Government).

• Understanding of Working Practice Documents (WPDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Capability to deliver training and identify areas needing training improvement.

• Knowledge of and ability to facilitate risk-based monitoring.

• Proficiency in evaluating employee and project metrics, KPIs, and project progress using CTMS, Preclarus, and Clarity.

• Ability to perform PAVs either remotely or on-site.

• Awareness of quality issues, QA audits, and responses to audits.

• Competence in managing staff, including hiring, selection, performance management, coaching, mentoring, counseling, and separations.

• Willingness and capability to frequently travel to site locations, both domestically and internationally.
