Associate Manager, Clinical Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Supervise daily line management duties for designated clinical operations teams

• Offer coaching, mentoring, professional growth, and performance oversight

• Oversee induction and orientation programs for new hires

• Keep staff CVs, training documentation, position descriptions, and experience profiles updated

• Assist with local resourcing and project/functional leadership tasks

• Raise issues that could impact project deliverables

• Provide training on WPDs, SOPs, local regulations, and clinical operations topics

• Identify training deficiencies and ensure training needs are fulfilled

• Engage in process enhancement and development projects

• Facilitate the risk-based monitoring strategy

• Notify management of quality concerns and request QA audits when necessary

• Support audit responses from direct reports and project teams

• Analyze metrics, KPIs, and project status using CTMS, Preclarus, and Clarity systems

• Conduct PAVs remotely or on-site to assess employee monitoring capabilities and project execution

• Manage hiring processes, selection, job descriptions, objectives, corrective actions, separations, timekeeping, expenses, leave, and overtime

• Collaborate with senior management and executive teams on strategic planning and business growth

• Address team resource requirements with the leadership team

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant formal academic/vocational credentials

• Prior experience ranging from 0 to 5 years

• At least 1 year of leadership experience

• Full authorization to work in Germany

• Proficiency in German and English (C1 level)

• Willingness to travel frequently to both domestic and international site locations

• Understanding of clinical operations, monitoring methods, and risk-based monitoring

• Familiarity with Working Practice Documents (WPDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Experience in utilizing CTMS, Preclarus, and Clarity systems

• Capability to manage staff, performance, training, resources, quality, and project metrics
