Associate Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide legal assistance in various corporate and commercial matters.

• Negotiate and oversee contractual agreements.

• Minimize legal risks while taking into account business and operational requirements.

• Offer guidance on legal aspects related to company operations.

• Review, draft, and aid in the negotiation of contracts, agreements, corporate policies, and standard operating procedures.

• Support regulatory compliance initiatives.

• Evaluate and revise confidentiality agreements.

• Help in creating legal training resources.

• Maintain records of executed agreements and other corporate documents.

• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required (Engineering or other technical disciplines are advantageous).

• Juris Doctorate is mandatory.

• Must be a licensed attorney in good standing to practice law within the United States.

• Prior legal experience is beneficial but not essential.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multicultural setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills.

• High attention to detail is essential.

• Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Japanese and/or experience living in Japan or collaborating with Japanese companies are a plus.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% annually.
