Associate IT Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Diagnose, install, and maintain devices such as personal computers, laptops, retail Point of Sale (PoS) technology, VoIP phones, and various end-user systems.

• Assist in overseeing Dell and Nutanix servers, Windows Server 2016/2019, network equipment, manufacturing IoT devices, ISP circuits, and interconnectivity technologies.

• Monitor and address issues through our helpdesk ticketing system.

• Actively respond to alerts from our system monitoring platform, both proactively and reactively.

• Take part in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call support rotations.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager, including support for comprehensive information systems planning, implementation, and administration across various IT functional areas.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.

• Up to two years of experience and/or training in IT support or related fields.

• Knowledge of IT hardware and software systems, including end-user devices (PCs, laptops, iPads, PoS systems) and infrastructure components (servers, networking equipment, and Windows Server environments).

• Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting (Ethernet, fiber optics) and system monitoring tools is advantageous.

• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues pertaining to hardware and software systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal customers and team members.

• Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations, perform physical tasks, and travel as necessary.

• Ability to meet state cannabis licensing requirements, including federal background checks.

• Capacity to perform tasks that may involve lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and setting up equipment (boxing/unboxing).
