Associate Infrastructure Engineer

📋 Description

• Enhance the reliability and stability of Webflow’s customer-facing production infrastructure that handles millions of page views every hour.

• Maintain monitoring tools and collaborate on best practices for internal observability.

• Optimize resource allocation, streamline upgrades, and ensure scalability and fault tolerance for Kubernetes applications.

• Troubleshoot and, when necessary, resolve production issues in the main Webflow application using Node, Python, or Go.

• Collaborate with Customer Support, Partnerships, and Sales teams to assist customers utilizing Webflow services in production.

• Engage in and continually enhance on-call and incident response processes.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating or debugging distributed systems in a production setting.

• Background as an operations engineer with a growing interest in coding, or a software engineer with a burgeoning interest in systems and infrastructure.

• Proficient in working with at least one major cloud provider, such as AWS or GCP, with a desire to enhance expertise.

• Practical experience handling Kubernetes workloads.

• Preferably familiar with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Argo Rollouts.

• Experience utilizing observability stacks such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry for creating dashboards, alerts, or traces.

• Proficient in at least one infrastructure-as-code tool such as Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or similar.

• Ability to read and modify application code for debugging purposes.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and adhere to incident management processes.

• Proactively embrace AI and actively develop fluency in emerging technologies.

• Valid right-to-work authorization relevant to the country of employment.
