This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Analyze daily banking activities and accurately apply customer payments to outstanding accounts receivable balances.
• Oversee, execute, and maintain bank balance reporting to ensure cash visibility and facilitate reconciliation.
• Document cash receipts and post corresponding journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and cash application activities, identifying discrepancies and resolving variances.
• Investigate and clear intercompany payments as well as unapplied or unidentified cash items.
• Liaise with internal teams and external accounts payable contacts to gather remittance details and address payment identification challenges.
• Update management on the status of cash application, aging of unapplied cash, payment exceptions, and collection issues.
• Alert program teams regarding collection risks, payment delays, or customer-specific concerns.
• Assess cash application workflows and propose enhancements, standardization, and automation solutions.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide operational support as necessary.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related Business field, or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the past 12 months.
• Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and achieve targets.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated individual capable of finding sustainable solutions in the absence of established processes.
• Competent in working with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with a strong emphasis on Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a talent for gathering and analyzing information.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with banking platforms, cash application tools, and financial systems that support receivables and treasury functions.
• Capacity to identify root causes of process challenges and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
• Experience in supporting process improvement or automation initiatives.
• Ability to operate autonomously and recognize issues that require escalation.
• Proficient in making recommendations, proactively solving problems, and fostering continuous improvement.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
