This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers during customer site visits, including installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Assist in diagnosing technical problems associated with flow cytometry instruments.
• Acquire knowledge of service protocols, technical documentation, safety regulations, and reporting requirements, and learn to utilize Salesforce while preparing a Field Service Report.
• Relay observations regarding product quality or service issues to relevant team members.
• Work in close collaboration with Field Service, Sales, and Field Applications teams.
• Enhance customer satisfaction through effective communication and prompt follow-up.
• Help maintain service parts and organize inventory, submit expense reports promptly, and enter hours in your timesheet weekly.
• Cultivate a comprehension of flow cytometry systems, encompassing optics, fluidics, electronics, and pneumatics.
• Travel to customer locations as necessary within the designated region.
• Recent graduates from college within the last 6 months.
• Possess a 2-year Associate degree or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Degree should be in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
• Interest in field service, laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, biotechnology, or life science equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
• Highly organized with proficient follow-up capabilities.
• Self-driven team player eager to learn.
• Basic knowledge of flow cytometry or related scientific fields is advantageous.
• Required computer skills include typing, email proficiency, and basic software usage.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Must hold a valid U.S. passport for possible travel to Canada.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips, as necessary.
• Flexibility in scheduling and ability to adjust to last-minute changes.
