This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers during customer site visits, which involve installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Aid in diagnosing technical issues related to flow cytometry equipment.
• Acquire knowledge of service protocols, technical documents, safety regulations, and required documentation.
• Learn to utilize Salesforce for preparing Field Service Reports.
• Relay product quality observations or service issues to the relevant team members.
• Collaborate closely with Field Service, Sales, and Field Applications teams.
• Promote customer satisfaction through professional communication and prompt follow-up.
• Assist in managing service parts and organizing inventory.
• Complete expense reports and record hours in a weekly timesheet.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of flow cytometry systems, including optics, fluidics, electronics, and pneumatics.
• Travel to customer locations within the designated region as needed.
• Work remotely via phone for technical troubleshooting when not visiting customer sites.
• Recent college graduate within the last 6 months.
• Must possess a 2-year Associate degree or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
• Interest in field service, laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, biotechnology, or life science equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
• Highly organized with effective follow-up abilities.
• Self-driven team player eager to learn.
• Basic knowledge of flow cytometry or related scientific fields is advantageous.
• Proficient computer skills, including typing, email, and basic software applications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Valid U.S. passport for possible travel to Canada.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight trips, as required.
• Flexibility in scheduling and ability to adapt to last-minute changes.
