• Engage new, dormant, and potential clients through daily outreach efforts and in-home appointments to enhance consignment activities.
• Design and implement innovative networking and outreach approaches to attract new consignors, revive relationships with lapsed consignors, and foster repeat business.
• Actively build a pipeline by identifying new leads, reactivating former consignors, and converting marketing-qualified leads into active consignors.
• Consistently achieve or surpass monthly targets by driving new business growth, reactivation outcomes, and key performance metrics that contribute to overall revenue expansion.
• Provide a high-touch, white-glove experience throughout the consignment journey to ensure client satisfaction, trust, and long-term relationships, while fostering meaningful connections that go beyond convenience and transactional interactions.
• Clearly articulate and review consignment contracts, set pricing expectations utilizing internal tools and luxury market knowledge, and guide clients through each stage of the process.
• Collaborate with Retail teams to boost sales growth and work closely with the Consignor Relations team to proactively address and resolve client issues.
• Acquire luxury consignment items from clients and manage the complete coordination of item pickup and shipment to The RealReal’s e-commerce centers.
• Spend the majority of time, over 70%, in the field, nurturing client relationships and securing consigned items through personalized, in-home appointments.
• Technologically adept; comfortable using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and digital tools to manage the pipeline and enhance performance.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of quickly adapting to changing priorities.
• Highly driven by ownership, growth, and impact, with a strong desire to create a book of business and continually enhance performance.
• Results-focused and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.
• Exceptional ability to build rapport, gain trust, and communicate effectively about high-value goods and services with discerning clients.
• Strong skills in relationship-building, organization, and problem-solving; excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Customer-focused with a passion for luxury, fashion, and sustainability.
• Willing and able to travel over 70% within the designated market.
• Able to commit to a 40-hour workweek with occasional off-hours; must reside in the assigned territory, hold a valid driver's license (except in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Chicago markets), maintain compliant insurance and driving record, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
