Associate Field Medical Director – Northeast

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary clinical and scientific resource for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) within a designated area.

• Provide comprehensive information on disease states and the ImmunityBio product pipeline.

• Act as a link for precise clinical, scientific, and medical data between external partners and the Medical Affairs and Clinical Development teams.

• Build, nurture, and maintain professional relationships with KOLs and HCPs.

• Engage in scientific discussions and interactions with selected KOLs.

• Proactively deliver clinical and scientific presentations to KOLs and HCPs, as well as respond to information inquiries.

• Identify and relay scientific, clinical, and research insights to Medical Affairs and internal teams.

• Address unsolicited medical information inquiries in the field.

• Carry out pharmacovigilance duties related to medical queries and drug safety information.

• Execute the medical territory strategy within the assigned geography.

• Develop and exhibit scientific expertise in oncology, relevant disease states, the competitive landscape, products, pipeline, clinical practices, and study methodologies.

• Act as a scientific subject matter expert for commercial staff and internal stakeholders.

• Assist clinical operations and trial sites for sponsored clinical studies and research programs.

• Establish and maintain a home-based office.

• Participate in frequent domestic and international travel for business purposes.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced medical/scientific/clinical degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, or PA) is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in clinical, research, or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry or a related healthcare sector is required.

• A current valid driver's license must be possessed and maintained.

• Familiarity with treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines is preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required.

• Ability to connect and collaborate with external stakeholders, including medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, and pharmacy directors, is essential.

• Proven capability to anticipate, organize, plan, and manage multiple shifting priorities.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

• Strong business acumen is required.

• Competence in reading, analyzing, and interpreting scientific and technical data is necessary.

• Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Proven experience with software tracking and logging systems, including customer relationship management and insights capturing systems.

• Commitment to adhering to the Medical Affairs Department framework and compliance with policies, systems, and practices is essential.

• Willingness to travel frequently for business, approximately 50% of the time, which may include automobile, train, and air travel.

• Ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends is required.

• Successful completion of a motor vehicle record check upon hire and annually thereafter is mandatory.

• Must maintain automobile liability insurance that meets company minimum coverage requirements.
