This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Offer senior-level guidance for local auctions to support business objectives and initiatives, auction procedures, and engagement with customers and team members.
• Develop and utilize robust relationships across the organization and with key customers to achieve results.
• Collaborate strategically with various teams to determine project prioritization and advance essential business initiatives within the region.
• Engage in the formulation and execution of strategic plans, goals, and objectives for regional operations, ensuring they align with overall organizational aims.
• Counsel senior leaders on strategic objectives by collecting and analyzing relevant business, financial, and operational data from the region.
• Leverage data to swiftly pinpoint opportunities and suggest solutions to enhance business activities and performance in the region.
• Ensure the effective and economical performance of regional operations and individual sites in line with strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
• Collaborate with project management and operations teams to guarantee that change management initiatives are successfully implemented across the region and its locations.
• Provide mentorship and accountability to a team of General Managers (Senior Leaders), successfully executing succession planning through appropriate coaching, leadership development, and performance management for the General Managers.
• Serve as a primary point-of-contact and change agent for other business units within the organization concerning regional operations.
• Work cross-functionally to effectively conceptualize and establish new processes, systems, and programs/platforms for regional operations.
• Ensure that Auction team members and General Managers comply with established safety policies and procedures, fostering a safe work environment.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Candidates must reside in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone or be willing to relocate to an area within one of these time zones.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, as required for the Associate Director role supporting various sites.
• At least 8 years of experience leading complex business transformation initiatives, developing talent, and addressing intricate operational challenges in a high-volume setting, potentially leveraging experience in areas such as lean manufacturing.
• Familiarity with key operational principles (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.) is advantageous.
• Expertise in strategic data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to swiftly identify areas of opportunity and independently propose viable solutions, manage change, and provide leadership.
• Strong leadership abilities - inspire through encouragement and coaching, effectively navigate conflict through positive resolution.
• A solid understanding and successful track record of managing operations, specifically in Auction Operations.
• Proven experience in leading and developing exempt-level leaders while seamlessly implementing critical changes and initiatives for growth or efficiency.
• Demonstrated capacity to resolve complex issues independently and guide others in navigating complex problem-solving and leading change.
• Highly skilled in computer systems and applications.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, continuously evolving production environment.
• Proven capability to provide valuable and actionable feedback.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules as needed.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license.
