Director – Education and Government Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver market insights regarding bolt-on targets, the competitive landscape, and valuation context within your specific subsector.

• Facilitate introductions to founders, family owners, and senior executives within your established network.

• Analyze confidential information memoranda and management presentations to assess sector-specific operational fit and risks.

• Engage in private equity sponsor pitches when your subsector experience and operational background are applicable.

• Provide input for operational due diligence on target companies.

• Advise the Fireclay team on effective positioning and messaging for sponsor outreach and sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a President, COO, or CEO within an education services platform, GovTech company, federal services contractor, or a private equity-backed platform in either subsector.

• At least fifteen years of experience in the subsector with senior operational responsibility and direct customer engagement.

• Familiarity with the procurement cycles, contracting mechanisms, and customer dynamics unique to your subsector.

• An established network of relationships with founders, family owners, senior executives, and private equity professionals in your subsector.

• Ability to represent Fireclay in a professional manner to private equity sponsors and target company management.

• Sound judgment in managing non-public information and competitive intelligence.

• Openness to working on a flexible per engagement basis without set hours or commitments.
