Associate Director, Technical Services – Beef Genetics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Overseeing strategic initiatives in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Leading research outcomes, conducting technical reviews and applications, creating sales and marketing materials, providing thought leadership, and performing data analysis to deliver predictive solutions for customers.

• Partnering with global key opinion leaders to guide the innovation and strategy of Zoetis Precision Animal Health.

• Promoting the worldwide adoption of genomic technologies and predictive solutions.

• Assisting in shaping the global strategy and innovation pipeline for beef genetics within the realm of precision animal health.

• Engaging in customer relations to facilitate the global acceptance of precision animal health solutions.

• Delivering thought leadership and training presentations to Zoetis colleagues, commercial partners, key opinion leaders, and audiences within the global beef industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree (PhD) in beef cattle breeding and genetics.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience applying beef genetics technology to seedstock and commercial production systems.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

• Strong time management abilities and capability to function effectively in a matrixed work environment.

• Proficient analytical skills, including the use of common genetic/genomic and statistical software packages.

• Capacity to work in diverse environments and lead cross-functional projects and teams.

• Comprehensive understanding of utilizing information, including trait and index predictions, to enhance genetic improvement strategies in modern beef production.

• Extensive expertise in economic selection index development and associated lifecycle management.

• Experience working with beef seedstock, commercial cow-calf, stocker, and feedlot producers, as well as stakeholder organizations.

• Preferred experience in the commercial application and adoption of precision animal health technologies.

• Willingness to travel to support business and customer requirements.
