This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic partner to the VP of Global Patient Safety and the GPS Executive Leadership Team.
• Establish priorities, recognize risks and opportunities, and convert strategy into actionable plans.
• Guide and mentor colleagues in Strategic Planning and Operations within GPS.
• Oversee the GPS operating rhythm, which includes leadership meetings, business reviews, goal tracking, decision forums, and follow-up processes.
• Prepare discussions for senior leadership by outlining objectives, decisions, tradeoffs, risks, stakeholder considerations, and recommendations.
• Create executive narratives, presentation materials, talking points, and communications.
• Ensure accountability by specifying owners, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and escalation procedures.
• Collaborate with GPS, R&D SPO leadership, HR, Finance, and other departments to align priorities with enterprise goals.
• Direct annual and multi-year planning, financial planning, resource allocation, and business operations processes.
• Design and implement GPS initiatives, process enhancements, and improvements to the operating model.
• Assist with communication, engagement, and change management initiatives.
• Execute tasks assigned by the QPPV and support inspection readiness as necessary.
• Doctorate degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED and 14 years of relevant experience.
• An advanced degree such as MBA, PharmD, PhD, Master’s Degree, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Proven experience supporting senior executives or executive leadership teams in areas like enterprise planning, chief of staff, business operations, or transformation roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading Strategic Planning and Operations teams or similar groups.
• Background in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally in Patient Safety, Pharmacovigilance, Research and Development, Regulatory, Medical, or related fields.
• Skill in translating priorities into operational plans, business reviews, decision forums, and measurable results.
• Experience in crafting executive-level narratives, presentations, talking points, and decision documents.
• Competency in influencing senior stakeholders and fostering alignment within a matrixed organization.
• Experience in leading planning, resource allocation, budget management, business performance, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong business judgment and a comprehensive enterprise perspective.
• Exceptional skills in executive communication, facilitation, strategic thinking, decision-making quality, change leadership, and accountability.
• Ability to proactively navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex information, develop recommendations, and drive implementation.
• Capability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
