This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Develop, recommend, and implement business development and growth strategies for the High Temperature Composites sector.
• Identify, shape, and seize new opportunities for carbon/carbon materials, components, and associated technologies.
• Foster long-term relationships with aerospace and defense OEMs, prime contractors, government clients, and strategic partners.
• Provide insights to leadership regarding market strategy, customer interaction, competitive positioning, investment priorities, and pursuit strategies.
• Oversee opportunity shaping, customer engagement, capture strategies, competitive assessments, and business case development.
• Direct major pursuit and bid activities, including proposal development, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Finance, Contracts, and other departments on customer solutions and capture strategies.
• Engage with customers to comprehend emerging requirements and create product, technology, and business solutions.
• Seek and pursue U.S. Government funding opportunities through various agencies including DoD, DARPA, AFRL, ONR, Army, Navy, and NASA.
• Identify opportunities to utilize HTC capabilities across RTX businesses and programs.
• Maintain market and competitive intelligence and convert insights into actionable business strategies.
• Develop and oversee a new-business pipeline while providing leadership visibility into opportunity status and competitive dynamics.
• Assist in customer engagement and capture initiatives for Wheels & Brakes and Landing Gear businesses as necessary.
• Represent Collins Aerospace with customers, industry partners, government entities, and at industry events and trade shows.
• Offer thought leadership and guidance on opportunity development, capture strategies, and business development best practices.
• Travel up to 30% as required.
• A University Degree along with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Experience with carbon/carbon, ceramic matrix composites, high-temperature materials, or other advanced aerospace materials.
• Proven experience in developing new aerospace and defense applications for emerging technologies.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract.
• Familiarity with U.S. Government R&D and acquisition processes is preferred.
• Established connections within aerospace primes or propulsion system OEMs are preferred.
• Experience in developing and executing merchant supplier or new-market growth strategies is preferred.
• Background in aerospace Wheels & Brakes, Landing Gear, or related Landing Systems products is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as necessary.
