Associate Director – Patient Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and execute a strategy for external engagement.

• Oversee the formulation and implementation of the medical affairs patient advocacy/external engagement plan for Europe.

• Collaborate with patient organizations throughout Europe.

• Attend events and conferences organized by patient organizations.

• Develop a comprehensive framework to ensure that the EU patient experience is integrated into all key business decisions.

• Interact with patient advocacy groups, foundations, and individual patients.

• Build and sustain solid relationships with key stakeholders in the patient community.

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams.

• Recruit and coordinate Patient Advisory Boards and focus groups.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, public health, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in patient advocacy/engagement or similar roles within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical healthcare sectors.

• Familiarity with the drug development process.

• Proven track record of success in developing and leading strategic initiatives.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in multiple therapeutic areas.

• Demonstrated experience in peer leadership.

• A profound understanding of patients and their families.

• Awareness of regulatory and ethical aspects related to patient advocacy and engagement.
